It All Began HereThis project started with a request to turn an existing deck into a more usable and inviting space. The homeowners wanted a screened porch that would let them enjoy their backyard in comfort, along with a new open deck and upgraded stairs, and a modern walkway for easy exterior access to the rear yard.
PROJECT SUMMARY
The Work
• Built an 18'x16' screened porch with a gable roof on the existing deck frame, adding new framing where needed. A new Techo Bloc Patio layed for accessibility.
• Installed Trex Enhance composite floorboards, black railings with white posts, and matching roof shingles. Paved New Techo Bloc Blu60 paver in Champlain Grey for the walkway.
• Added a new 10'x20' open composite deck and 8 new 4'-wide composite stairs with riser lights
• Upgraded the electrical package with new LED post cap lights and low voltage path lights for the walkway
The Outcome
The finished porch and deck give the homeowners more ways to use their backyard. The screened area provides shelter from bugs and weather, while the open deck and wide stairs offer plenty of space for gatherings. The new materials and lighting bring a fresh look and lasting durability. The Techo Bloc walkway adds ease of accessibility and seamlessly connects the front of the property to the new space
